Eggs a plenty for the Food Bank this Easter thanks to donationStuart | YLF
When The Casino MK, located within the Xscape complex, found that it had a large number of Easter Eggs left over from a recent promotional campaign, they got in contact with the Food Bank MK to see if they could be donated.
The Food Bank welcomed the donation literally with open arms and dispatched their van and some willing helpers load them all up. The donated eggs will be used by various local groups and agencies to top up food parcels across the Easter period, giving the beneficiaries a chocolately treat.
The Food Bank relies entirely on donations of food and money to create the food parcels that are given to families and individuals referred to by agencies who identify need and entitlement.
Nigel Hartland, General Manager at The Casino MK commented, “When we realised that we had some eggs left over, we thought long and hard about how we could best use these within the local community and the Food Bank offered us the perfect solution. We’re glad they could help with the distribution.”
John Marshall, Manager at Food Bank MK said, “The food parcels we hand out give people the basics they need such as tinned food and dried pasta but it’s not often we’re able to include a treat for them. These Easter eggs will be a very welcome addition.”
